Spray On Closed Cell Polyurethane Form K-13 - Quansit, Hut, New Lenox, IL
A client in New Lenox, IL had a "Quansit Hut" type building that had been used for storage of farm equipment. The owners decided to install a concrete floor, water service, a bathroom and heat.
The renovated building will be used for storage of a car collection. HEC Technologies applied 1 inch of closed cell polyurethane foam followed by 1 inch of K13 URE-K. The foam goes on at an R value of 7 and provides excellent condensation control. The K13 URE-K provides the required thermal barrier for foam as well as providing an additional R 3.8, a .75 noise reduction coefficient and a pleasing white finish. The end result is a comfortable, quiet, efficient, attractive environment.
