Winberie's Restaurant located in Oak Park, Illinois, approached Home Energy Control, Inc. over 12 years ago to help with a reverberant noise problem in their dining room. Restaurants with all hard surfaces can be particularly noisy. In highly reverberant rooms, speech is unintelligible and people respond by talking louder. This makes the problem grow exponentially. Barrel vault ceilings and domed ceilings further compound the problem. Home Energy Control originally applied white 3/4 inch K13 fc Sana Spray to reduce the reverberant noise while providing an attractive textured finish.
After 12 years the surface needed to be freshened up. HEC Technologies installed extensions on the HVAC diffusers to minimize soiling of the textured finish.
This modification was followed by applying a thin color coat of a custom creme colored K13 fc Sona that matched the new decor.
